Tapioca Pearl @ 99 Ranch Market
This afternoon when I was groceries shopping at 99 Ranch Market on Artesia Blvd, I saw these bags of tapioca pearls on sale - 2 for $1.80. I love the chewiness of these tapioca pearls, as most of you might have seen them with milk ice tea, which is very popular among the Asian societies.
I took the bag and read the instructions at the back, and it seems pretty easy to prepare. As the instructions said, it only needs 5 minutes after water boiling. So, I bought 2 packs to try. Hopefully they are as good as those in the milk icea tea.
Edit: I cooked it immediately after I finished writing the top portion of this post. The result ... it was not as great as I thought it would. It is chewy and tasteless (I know it suppose to be tasteless as you suppose to mix with drink) but there is a soury taste behind it. It also has a soury smell when I opened the packet. It says 'made in China'. Sometimes, things may not taste as good as they look.
