Los Angeles Zoo

We have a beautiful Zoo in Los Angeles that worth visiting if you are in the vicinity. It is located at the northeast corner from the Griffith Park. Freeway access is easy as there are two major freeways nearby - the I-5 (Golden State) and 134.

The Zoo's regular hours are between 10am to 5pm. They open every day except for Christmas Day. Wheelchairs and strollers rental are available for a fee. Guided tour is available if you place an advance booking. Food kiosks are all around the park and if you feels hungry, it is always easy to grab something to bite on. They also have train ride to go around the park if you feel a little lazy to walk, which they called the Safara Shuttle. It isn't free though. Adult has to pay $4 while kids from 2 to 12 $2 and seniors (62+) $1.50.

I couldn't list all the animals as we only saw a few here and there during our trip there last Saturday. But if you want to know what animals you can find there, refer to their animal collection list.

If you live in Los Angeles and have children at home, it is a good idea to get their annual membership. It is a good experience and education for the children. Besides, the LA Zoo is a very nice outdoor place with lots of shades just to walk around with with kids. They can run and have so much fun as a family.
