Manhattan Beach (on a gloomy day)

We went to Manhattan Beach this afternoon. It was a nice day when we left home but when we arrived at MB, the sky became gloomy. You can see in the pictures below, the clouds in the sky which is not an often sight in 'sunny' Los Angeles.

The city has an area close to 4 square miles with about 2 miles of beach front area next to the Pacific Ocean. As you can see in the pictures below, the homes are basically a few steps away from the ocean. Of course, they are multi-millions homes. These ocean view homes are located on the The Strand Street. There is a pedestrian walkway and separate bicycle path along the beach. During the summer time, there is the national volleyball tournament at the beach.

This is one of the nicest city in Los Angeles County to live and play. If you get the chance to visit, you have to come here. It is only 3.5 miles from the Los Angeles International Airport.
