Tampopo Ramen @ Gardena

There are many Japanese restaurants in Gardena. We've tried many ramen places and found Tampopo Ramen. We used to like going there two weeks once. Recently, there was a change in the ownership and the way they handle the restaurant. The menu was changed as well as the taste in the noodle and the soup.

Last time, the ramen they've used was a little thicker as well as a little more chewier than current ramen noodle. The soup base too changed a little. I taste more MSG in the current soup base than the old one. I am very sensitive to MSG let me tell you. Prices are much higher now compare to the old times.

I had a Tampopo Ramen, $6.99 and Hubby had a Spicy Tuna roll set (4 pcs of spicy tuna rolls plus a bowl of tampopo ramen), $8.99. When we dined in this time, we were served a little appertizer tofu, seasoned & cooked bean sprout plus another radish type of dish.

We will still visit but will definitely not as often as before.
