South Bay Beach on July 4th
We went to the beach on the morning of July 4th. It was nice and sunny at our home, which is about 9 miles to the ocean. But it became a little foggy as we drove nearer to the beach. We thought it was going to be very crowded because the first street we passed by was full. But we manage to find another street that had some empty spots. When we left the parking space, immediately a car drove into the street and parked at our spot. Lucky them.
This beach is located south of the Redondo Beach Pier. I think it might be the Torrance Beach. We did see a dolphin swimming very near to the beach, a few helicopters flying along the beach, many many policemen patrolling in their beach cruiser, and a few sailboats.
The top two pictures were taken when we just arrived, while the bottom two was taken when we left. It got a little more crowded when we left and parking was worse than when we arrived. I bet some of those people stayed until the night for the fireworks on the beach.
