Gladstone's @ Long Beach

We celebrated our birthdays a week early. No particular reason. This year we went to Gladstone's at Long Beach Shoreline. We've been there once before October last year. Hubby likes their Clam Chowder soup and salad. And I like their fresh oyster. There are not too many places that offer good & fresh oysters. Well, at least we haven't found another. So to be safe, we went back to Gladstone's.

It is a nice fancy (for us) restaurant located next to Long Beach Shoreline. It is within walking distance from the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific. We easily found parking inside the restaurants row, 1st hour is free with validation and every hour after is $2 each hour.

There were not many customers inside the restaurant when we were seated but the crowd got better when we left after our lunch. It was a Friday and Hubby mentioned that not too many people will pay that much for lunch. Their prices are reasonable but not cheap for lunch, you probably can find cheaper lunch elsewhere. The prices range from $10-$15 for a regular lunch, nothing fancy. If you want to ask for daily special seafood, it may cost more.

That day we ordered half a dozen of oysters from the sushi bar, a smoked salmon club with tomatoes and fries, and an albacore tuna with steamed vegetables and rice pilaf with cranberries plus almonds. We love the oysters. I had 4, Hubby had 2. So nice of him to let me have his share. *kiss* We like the smoked salmon club with fries.
