Los Angeles Zoo Re-opens: 5/12

Like I was saying, we were planning to visit the LA Zoo tomorrow, Saturday. But due to the Griffith Park fire, the Zoo was closed. We thought it still close but then Hubby saw the news and then I went to their website to check out. Indeed, they will resume activities tomorrow 5/12 but only certain exits can be used to get to the Zoo's entrance.

Important Information for Zoo Visitors

We are very happy to announce that the Zoo will resume normal operating hours (10am - 5pm) on Saturday, May 12. Please be aware that the majority of Griffith Park will remain closed over the weekend of May 12-13. Zoo visitors will only be able to gain access to the Zoo by the following exits: I-5 North at Zoo Drive, the 134 East at Victory Blvd, and the 134 West at Zoo Drive. All Griffith Park exits south of these, as well as roads through Griffith Park, will remain closed. We welcome our guests back to the Zoo and suggest coming early and avoid arriving during peak hours, as heavy traffic congestion is expected. Thank you very much for your support!
